| Rapture Sound Design 101 - Creating a "Sequence" Program
Step 1. Loading a Wavetable, Element 1
- Load a fresh instance of Rapture and select E1 (Element 1)
- Click here to open the wavetable browser and select "000 — sine.wav"
- Set Transpose to '-12'
- Set Multi to '7v' (multiplies the sine wave 7 times)
- Set Detune to '20' (fattens up the sound)

Step 2. Loading a Wavetable, Element 2
- Select E2 and choose as its waveform "151 — rainstick.wav"
- Activate the DSP section by clickin on the text that reads Bypass
- Choose 'LP 2P' as the first filter
- Set Cutoff to ~179 Hz
- Set Resonance to ~30dB

Step 3. Create Amplitude curve for E1
- Now select E1 again
- In the Modulators section, select AMP and set Status to 'On'
- Right-click at the top of the graph at approximately the 100 ms mark
- Press 'S' -- this sets a Sustain point for Amplitude, indicated by the orange vertical line emanating from the Node
- Right-click in the bottom right of the graph to establish a release segment

Step 4. Create a rhythmic pitch sequence for E1
- Select E1 and select Pitch in the Modulators section
- Set Pitch Step Generator Status to 'On'
- Set Smooth to '31' (this causes the pitch to glide from one to the next)
- Set Depth to '2400' (this sets the max range to 2 octaves in pitch)
- Right click on the Step Sequence grid and select 'Snap to 12 steps'
- Create a 16 step pitch sequence as pictured (values are 100%, 50% and 0%)

Step 5. Create a rhythmic filter sequence for E2
- Select E2 and Cut1 in the Modulators section
- Set the Cut1 Step Generator's Status to 'On'
- Set Smooth to '31'
- Right click on the Step Sequence grid and select 'Randomize Steps'

Step 6. Add Stereo Delay effect to E2
- Select E2
- Click the effects type menu and select 'Stereo Delay'
- Set Left (left delay) to '1/2d beats'
- Set Right (right delay) to '1d beats'
- Set Feedb (Feedback) to ~50%
- Set Dry/Wet to 50%
